“ 2 Reactive dogs go for a walk” – the 2nd trial walk (checking the 1st wasn't a fluke!)

We'd already blocked out time the day after our first trial walk... You know, just on the off chance everything had been amazing and we wanted to try again.
Well, turns out it's a good job we had that time blocked because we used it!
After the success of the 1st walk, we were both saying, 'surely this can't be real? It can't have been that simple? So we met at the same place as the previous day and held our breath, waiting for our walk to be a disaster.
We held our breath for a long time, and the disaster never came! Despite arousal levels rising right at the start when a loud barking dog came racing through the gate to the estate after us. We moved ourselves to one side, gave our dogs something else to do (sniffing, middle, nose touch or anything they enjoy doing and once the dog & owner had passed, we carried on our way.
The Pheasants were once again out in force, teasing and fluffing their feathers in the dogs faces, but they handled it like pros, and once again we managed the entire walk without a snarl, a lunge, a spin or a bark towards each other.
Does this mean every walk will look like this? Nope! Does that matter? Nope! It means that we know it's possible and can now do more and expand their world one walk at a time
